Illustrated Haggadah

 Illustrated Haggadah

The Haggadah, is a text, in many cases a small book of sorts (usually around 30 pages), that contains prayers for Passover, stories of the Exodus, and sets up the order as well as guides the participants through the Seder dinner during the Jewish holiday of Passover. My illustrated Haggadah is not only colorful and uplifting, but also entertains children and adults with versions of Seek and Find, or iSpy, as well as representing Jewish people from all backgrounds and cultures.

A piece of Matzah is broken off during a Seder and put aside to be eaten at the end of the meal. It is traditionally hidden during the Seder to be searched for by the children and exchanged for a present. This spread has six Matzah pieces hidden in the scene!

Spot Illustration: Four cups of wine for each generation! Each cup of wine is filled and drank at a specific point in the Seder - there are four in total. The first is for Kiddush (קידוש), the second is for 'Maggid' (מגיד), the third is for Birkat Hamazon (ברכת המזון) and the fourth is for Hallel (הלל).

The meal is everyone’s favorite part of the Seder! Before the meal has even begun, the table is already a mess from the first ten rituals of the evening, the puppets are out, the wine is spilled, and the candles have mostly been lit. Can you find all the objects in this spread?

The first four plagues: Blood, Frogs, Lice and Beasts.
